EDIT: Apparently the model was made by STR, which I didn't know. Very well done sir.
In the posting menu where you have things like color, size or fonts of writing or the bold, italic or underlined icon you'll find an icon with a small mountain in it. Click it and then put the link into the window that'll open. I hope this helps

I agree. What is fascinating about this project; is a width to height ratio of 1:19. It will most likely be the thinnest supertall in the world. The ultimate pencil tower!

The model is pretty close to 430m with 101 and a half glass floors.

If you guys have any aerial shots of the site I could edit the tower into please post them. Central park and the Chrysler Building keep drawing the cameras away.

Is this thing a 100% go? We will see it physically going up this summer?

I ask as I am surprised by the lack of publicity about such a tall tower. I've never heard of it off of this website.

Not a great design IMO but I love the height so bring it on!

If 1 WTC was build without steel, so the core was alone all the way up, it would give the same impression as 432 Park, but than still 432 Park was a bit taller.

Wow that's fabulous man. You've got larger windows than the renders I think, which I can't quite work out whether I like more or less. If that's right, why have you done that? Anyways, great job sir.

It doesn't need any approvals from anyone, so they can start whenever, and apparently they have very good relationships with lenders. In short, I expect this to be under construction this year.

I also share your feelings about the building itself. Not a great design, but the height is impressive.

I'm not even sure if this building would be economically viable if it had a 'great design'. I mean, other than a cladding change, the structure would probably lose valuable floor space if it were anything other than it is, a box. This would make it a harder sell.

If it were more interesting and incorporated a more interesting form, I'm sure it wouldn't be as tall because it would have to be fatter down low (FAR) to make up for the lost floor space above.

The zoning system is not great in this regard. It does however protect the city from becoming an overly dense nightmare and keeps the streets from becoming too overshadowed.

Uhm, to me they look identical. Both the official render and his render have 6 of them on each side

The space in between the windows looks larger on the renders.

Aquablue, you're right, it wouldn't be economically viable with anything more interesting. It's such a small site that any deviation from the box design would mean less space and therefore make less sense.

That's just the way it came out I guess, I did the window separations by eye(both vertically and horizontally) and totally ignored the fact that the renders' blocks had twelve floors a piece(model has 19). I wasn't very concerned about accuracy since we still don't know what it looks like.

The model is in Google's 3d warehouse if anyone wants it, just don't open it in Google earth. Too many polys apparently.http://i.imgur.com/jquET.jpg

And thanks kanto but the images are so far away(and the second doesn't show the site) that it really isn't worth editing in. The 4 that I made are enough I think.

Can't wait to see amount of steel here..Also, I bet that blueprints, calculations, diagrams and other math there must be better than any porn magazine..

In my opinion, they need to cut off at least the top "box", for it to make sense with its surroundings. In its current state I dont like it. It is way too tall, way too thin and way too "boxy" and with an uninteresting design.

I am amazed this got approved in this state. It looks totally out of place.

That is just my opinion though so...
