I have been on Skyscrapercity for five years now, but these are my first photo contributions to the supertall forums! I took these a couple weeks ago.

Currently, the floor slab is being poured in the low cloudy weather for actual floor 68 (apparent floor 73), with the exterior forms being raised. So far for the month, three floor slabs have been poured. For the months of April, May and June, 6 floors were cast, and it is conceivable that three more floors may be constructed for this month.

The remaining distance from the current floor being poured to the topmost parapet is 279'-0".

6 floors per month is pretty quick.

432 Park Ave, NYC: Fourth of July construction update

And while I was waiting for the fireworks, filming the Empire State's illumination, I got to witness this UFO. I mean, probably a paper lantern. But then again, it's still unidentified. Still flying. Still an object.

It seems that EarthCam is behind the 8-ball. For two weeks now, the 59th Street cam has been inoperative, and now, with the core form currently rising as seen on the 53rd Street cam, it will soon go out of view.

Hopefully the 59th Street cam comes back online, and that the 53rd Street cam gets repositioned to follow the upward growth of 432 Park Avenue. As I mentioned before in a previous post, both cams were seemingly automatically repositioned at lunchtime between 12:00 and 1:00PM every day.

I am by no means an expert but this building seems so thin compared to others especially in the renders and the shorter ones around it

Got a big update which I will post tomorrow! Currently stuck in departures for my flight home, got some last minute shots of this tower as it will probably be topped out before my next visit.

I think that the last time that the 59th st cam was offline so much time was when they moved it from the building across the street (back then it was the 57th st cam) to the top of the Bloomberg Tower.

I wonder if they are moving it again to some other place.

View of 432 Park Avenue from Park Lane in the Upper East Side. It looks very tall already. My first time in New York! This was the 2nd thing i noticed in the skyline after the One World Trade Center.

I think they jumped the core yes, at least a partial jump? I can no longer see the crane on the 53rd street cam.

Yes, it was a partial core rise. Possibly the crane needs to be raised. The last crane jump occurred on July 1. Three floor slabs have been poured since. Judging from the configuration of the CPB ( Concrete Placing Boom), the core has not reached a full jump. Today, it appears that columns are being poured. With both the 59St and now the 56St cams down (don't know why they messed with the 56St cam; it gave a good view of the ground action, and gave important clues to the action aloft), we have to rely on just the 53rd St cam, which itself needs to be raised in order to follow the action up top.
