I like it a lot. I mean deconstructivism does not really fit with New York's history, does it? Maybe if they did something with its top it would be perfect.

I think you mean minimalism.
deconstructivism would be like a Frank Gehry design like 8 spruce street.

I think he means deconstructivism as opposed to this tower, which is minimalist. Hence the fact that he complimented the tower.

Anyway, cam's been raised, but not by much.

Haven't been on this thread for a while, but some news...

The Nordstrom Tower on 57th Street in NYC has just been unveiled. The building is 1,775 feet tall. If built, it will become the tallest residential tower in NYC and the Western Hemisphere, taller than 432 PArk Avenue, and only one foot shorter than 1WTC.

Like this?

"Building and ship comparison to the Pentagon2" by Fosnez - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:B...omparison2.svg.

Just remember that 432 Park is taller than the top floor of ESB but shorter than the tip of the antenna, so somewhere in that skinny part. The ship at the bottom is the Seawise Giant, considered the largest ever built.

So 432 Park is pretty much exactly the same length as the Pentagon measured from one side to the tip on the other "side".
