There was a partial jump on july 17th, so it's almost another more level completed, but they can't raise the forms completely until they raise the crane, as soon as they raise it, they will complete the jump.

What the did do today is raising the perimeter forms, I think they are almost at level with the core now.

It seems that what is slowing them down now is the crane. I guess they can't lift it at the same pace that they are building the floors. Since the crane rests in the slabs not so many floors bellow the top, I think those slabs don't have enough time to acquire the needed resistance to support the crane and they have to wait some more days for that.

Judging from the configuration of the CPB ( Concrete Placing Boom), the core has not reached a full jump. Today, it appears that columns are being poured. With both the 59St and now the 56St cams down (don't know why they messed with the 56St cam; it gave a good view of the ground action, and gave important clues to the action aloft), we have to rely on just the 53rd St cam, which itself needs to be raised in order to follow the action up top.

I still want a 3 foot high solar panel array on top of the building to make it an even 1400 feet.

It would have been cool, if the tower was planned to be 432m tall

Just remember that 432 Park is taller than the top floor of ESB but shorter than the tip of the antenna, so somewhere in that skinny part. The ship at the bottom is the Seawise Giant, considered the largest ever built.

Yes something like that or like this: http://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei...mparaison2.svg

Seeing how this new generation of supertall skyscrapers are absolutely dwarfing the surrounding skyscrapers makes me think about the history of skyscrapers and how far we have come, from the earliest skyscrapers of the late 1800s that ranged between 10 to 20 stories tall, such as the Beau-Arts styled Potter Building (11 stories) built in 1886, which was seen as a towering mammoth in its day, even though it is seen as a rather small feature in modern standards. And just think, maybe one day in the distant future buildings like 432 Park will be dwarfed by a future generation of supertalls thousands of meters high, and when those come, supertalls that we marvel today will be viewed as "average" or "minute" as we today view structures such as the Potter Building.

I think that they just completed the core jump. Earlier they raised the perimeter formwork and you can't see the top of the core, now it peeks out a bit. Also, the crane seems ready to jump (there seems to be a counterweight hanging from it)

That would put the building at 1178 ft (359 m) or 76 floors...

Kanto usually has an accurate estimation when it comes to height

It appears that the crane is now the "bottleneck". Until it is raised, progress will be slowed. Earlier, there was a balance weight on the hook, but currently is not.
Today, however, column rebar for future columns were placed, and a floor slab was poured (70 actual floors, 75 apparent floors) while the exterior forms were raised.

According to my observations, here is where we are now:

On my drawing, the numbers to the right of current building progress (1271' and 1162') are the elevations shown on the views on the 432 Park Avenue website, showing the city views from those elevations. The dates shown to the left of the building progress drawing are the floor slab pour dates. So far, 5 floor slabs have been cast. The 1250' elevation seen to the left is the roof height of the Empire State Building. 248 feet are remaining to top out elevation.

Glad I'm not the only one who saw that!

But yes indeed it is roughly 359m tall from what we can gather!

100m taller than The Rockefeller Centre!
