So couldn't they just have kept the Drake and build the tower next to it?
The Drake was too long, the current tower would of been forced to be even thinner. And if its thinner, it needs to be taller to get the same floor space. The site is too small as is.

The top floor of this tower is going to be the most expensive floor of real estate in human history.

Well, that's true. They have some fantastic old buildings over in that part of the world, so it would be a shame not to appreciate what you have. Some of the stuff in Prague is extremely beautiful. I really think that old buildings are far nicer on street level than corporate glass boxes, but then again, so do most people.

That was my first thought, but they did used to be the same country and they're still neighbours, and he did say 'that part of the world'.

Very very very well done. You can do as many of these as you like and we'll all be impressed. I still wish it was 200m shorter, but your renders do look good.

This thing is completely out of proportion. It will look absolutely ridiculous there.

Kanto do you always like the later option? I can't say I love really old buildings, but commie boxes? You're entitled to your opinion of course, but I don't know if many people could fathom that way of thinking.

Sorry I know commie boxes well since I live in Poland and if you say you like them more than a well preserved classy old architecture then no offense but you really have to have poor taste.

I don't like commie blocks cause the buildings are so close to each other though old buildings are mostly far closer to each other than buildings in commie blocks so I hate them far more. As to the buildings themselves I love commie boxes but I hate the spike covered cheesily decorated old buildings. I like simplicity and right angles, that's why I love 432 Park so much

Yes, they do. I hate commies, he loves them.. ha. Commies are just disgusting, as are many other styles. Commies though, are the worst thing ever IMO. They are the anti-design, and they destroy landscapes.

Commies are the scum of the earth!! Beautiful old buildings cant' be compared to cinder-block architecture that requires no thought to design. Did I mention that they all look pretty much the same everywhere you go? Visually they are so hideous that they surely must represent planning at its worst. Second comes ugly international towers and brutalism for me.

European cities are full of these commies outside their historic centers. They don't do these areas any favors visually.

Yup, they're all over our city. Our city is like 60% commie buildings, 15% old buildings 15% family houses and 10% modern buildings. I myself live in a commie building (though fortunately not in a commie block) and it's a masterpiece
