It is definitely a land mark.. you can't deny its impact in NYC skyline.

There are a lot fabulous buildings in the UES, especially near the met.

To rise a flag when every building it's topped out is a tradition in Spain too.

Great stick... sorry, building Bether sights than Top of the Rock, I think.

Finally an update on the podium.

Looks like they are also adding some vertical cladding supports on the 'cube'

I love this towers height, it's time that NYC starts going higher but at this point, it sticks out like a sore thumb, though I don't believe it always will.
Wish I could see NYC at the end of this century, I bet then this tower will be as unnoticeable as the towers this one now dominates.

No it hasn't, there are still one or two more floors plus a two-story parapet.

So then the stories I've seen that they are now at 1,396 ft are incorrect?

Only thing I really would have done differently was put some kind of crown here but ultimately the flat top gives it its own character especially with the crown of One57, stairway tapering of Steinway and spires on Nordstrom which will contrast very nicely.

Thanks, I thought the core topped out meant this has topped out. Good to know this will hang around longer in the supertalls section
