I've been a lurker on here for month's and have read every page of this wonderful thread in that time. I was lucky enough to see 432 up close in June. The images and post on here do it real justice. Iconic.

Thanks for sharing to you all.

The exterior forms for 432 Park Avenue is only one jump away from reaching top elevation. The roof slab has not yet been poured, while currently, the spandrel beams are being cast. Saturday, the beam rebar was placed.

Here is where we are, as of today with my final diagram for 432 Park Avenue:

Work continues on the Park Avenue annex, with exterior curtain walls being installed.

Thanks for the diagrams you post marcatio. Is the core here equal to the roof level and all they need to do is dismantle the formwork for it now.

10064,

Thank you for the compliment. This project has been fun to watch, and when the cams finally go dark, the fun I've had will end.

As to your question, I would think that the disassembly of the core climbing form would remain until the final elevation of the perimeter is reached. As seen today on the cam, the CPB (concrete placing boom) is being used to pour the perimeter beams for the level that occurs above the roof elevation,, so I think that the final elevation will be poured using the CPB. However, the concrete contractor may have other ideas.

As far as I know, unless there was a design change, the core has reached final height, two levels below the top parapet elevation, based on the preliminary drawings.

Great diagrams. Do we know if the parapet floors will be clad in the same window glass as the lower floors?

Yes. The perimeter forms need to jump 1 more time then the top spandrel beams poured and we are at the final elevation.

So the actual floor count is 84 (counting mechanicals only as one floor which is silly tbh) and the apparent floor count is 90. Thread title should be changed to 90 fl.

EDIT: 432 PA is being advertised as an 96-story building.

The top of the ESB is way above the horizon on the pictures, so their were indeed taken from below the ESB level. 75th floor seems right.

Robert Stern is the past. 432 is the future.

Okay, but per the renders, the top two floors will be clad somehow won't they?

I just want to be sure they won't be open on the sides, which would break up the 12 floors of glass/2 floors open pattern.

Why 90 and not 84 ( the real floors ) ?
