Hi Chuck! Nice to see you in the NYC threads!

The impressive pyramidal structure is 625 W.57th St designed by Bjarke Ingels. Here's the thread: NEW YORK | 625 W.57th St. - Pyramid | 137m | 450ft | 32 fl | U/C

I'm not sure what the two buildings north of the pyramid are, but the large tower at the right edge of the second photo is Atelier II, thread here: NEW YORK | Atelier 2 - 605 W.42nd St. | 206m | 676ft | 61 fl | U/C

It hasn't made its full impact yet with the netting taken off and the crane removed.

I think the triangle not being in the shadow is an optical illusion, the sky is close to cloudless. It's probably due to the shape, which is prone to catch sunlight from varying directions. It'll look great

This is from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal and it could be mistaken for a large chimney.

Neat illustration for the shadows. But trust me, anyone in architecture knows that when you're going this high, shadow studies play a vital role in creating the mass of the building and how it interacts with the land around it. Sometimes it can ruin a design that's otherwise fine.

As was shown, at least 432 Park doesn't push into the park at all. Meanwhile One57 does the opposite. Nothing necessarily wrong perhaps; just a super tall building next to the park and physics

Interesting shot. The sunset reflects off the Trump World Tower when there's a cloudy sky.

That is a sunrise shot not a sunset. This picture was taken looking at the east end of the island

Thank you! That's my impression as well. New York City's smokestack.

Currently, the building forms at the top look like the lip of the smokestack from really far away, and soot around the top.

Damn the Time Warner Center looks pretty tall in some of those render's, haven't paid much attention, but their quite awesome, and at 750 ft,,that's quite impressive and taller than anything in most major US cities...
