I can't wait to see the mech lights turned on for this building. I'm wondering, will the top 2 floors be illuminated at night?

Nope! That would break the 12-floor patter (and you can see it in the early night time renders). However, since they're open to the sky, I believe they will look slightly different during the day.

I'd be curious to see what an additional 2 floors atop the final 12 floor box, would have looked like. More of a crown when lit at night, but my gut tells me it's better as is.

Renovate them, make them look clean and I assure you they will look good.

The pics you show look totally different. They're absolutely nothing alike, at all, besides all being modernist structures.

I think you just don't like modernism, so everything to you "looks the same" if it's from the same architectural philosophy. But you couldn't be more wrong.

There actually are many "commieblock" type structures in NYC somewhat similar to your pics, but not this building.

Sorry to stray but... the various sizes of communications equipment added to this building - it's like some cancerous growth is overtaking the structure!

This is the second tallest building of Brazil
It was the first one until this year. And it isn't derelict, it's just very ugly

And btw, there are more modern towers in NYC with the same kind of top.

Indeed, the photo posted shows Beekman U/C as you can see the netting down the sides and on the setbacks

Yes I know obviously, it was only an example whereit's cler that the Beekman tower also has the facade to the top, but the is no flat roof on the highest point, that's why I posted that pic hith the last floors still U/C, so it's more visible. But nevermind, back to 432.
