New York's stunning landscape compliments its stunning structures. The amazing thing is that millions of people live under the Canopies of those tree-covered hills.

well, close to a million - unless you count da Bronx of course.

Funny how so many wealthy people live in that area to have a home outside yet still close to the city, yet you'll have super wealthy residents of 432 Park Avenue looking down on them like plebs.

Rather, you'd think someone with only 134 posts would show some respect and not make a stupid comment.

Looked like a wafer to me at first glance but looking deeply it unfolds a good design with an aestheticism of simplicity and beauty.

Not that my opinion matters, being out here on the coast of Washington State, but when I first saw the plans, I thought this was going to be an awful addition to NYC. Boy, was I wrong. It manages to be elegant, unobtrusive, and surprisingly, congruent with the rest of the skyline. Fantastic addition. Cannot wait to get back to New York.

I love 432 Park, but it might take me a while until I'm used to this building in the skyline. I think I'll like it much more when its balanced out with all the residential supertalls rising around it!

That was one of the greatest uses of sarcasm I have ever seen.

Seriously, the shadows are not that bad. Central Park is not going to be put in an eternal darkness. I mean, these towers are razor skinny, compared to the rest of the world, and the anti-tower activists have been mainly using the winter solstice shadow diagrams to "prove" that the shadows are bad. You know what, guys? The winter solstice is barely a day long.

And even the places that have some sort of shadows have them for like, 20 minutes. And the lower portion of Central Park is already dark due to the 500-foot towers there. We don't not go there because of that. This could be the biased mind of a skyscraper-lover talking, or it could be a sane person making observations. Don't whine over the shadows, people of New York.

Are they going to paint the concrete shell or will it stay raw like that?
