He's kidding. Though there is a 2000 ft rebuttable presumption imposed by the FAA. This simply means that if you want to build above 2000 ft, you have to get special approval from this federal agency. Since there's nothing that tall in the US, it hasn't been tested yet.

Well, there are radio broadcast towers that reach over 2000 feet in the US. As for habitable office and residential towers, no.

Yes, true. But they had to get special permission from the FAA/FCC to build them. The tallest structure in the western hemisphere is the KVLY-TV mast in North Dakota near Fargo. It's 2,063 ft tall.

Each stripe is about 100' 432 is equal to the top of the 7th white stripe.
