I'm all for dissent, but you literally just make the same comment on this thread every few weeks. We know you hate it. It's ok that you hate it. But you don't need to remind us at regular intervals.

Instant classic and a great tower. Takes some guts to propose, approve and build a design this clean and modest in an era of blingbling and fancy shapes...

Uaarkson, were those pics you posted taken from 299 Park Avenue? That little black skyscraper has a rather interesting history!

I think "shish kabob" rather than "chimney" is what it will look like when the netting is removed, revealing the open floors and interior drum. The look of the building will change dramatically.

Though skinny at its base for a supertall, 432 Park is comparable to a lot of taller NYC skyscrapers at its apex. It's massive in person.

I'm gonna get dumped on for this, but I rather like 299 and 277 Park Avenue (Emory Roth and Sons), as well as their SOM-designed neighbor across the street, 270 Park. And one of the pics you posted where I could see a fire extinguisher sign- kind of ironic considering that 299 has had three fires in its life, at least one of those (1980) being quite serious.

Pretty much every office building on Park Ave is nice, even ones that are ugly on the outside. I can assure you that 299 Park is nowadays loaded with fireproofing lol, got a nice coating of it on my lungs right now I bet
