Scaling in Autocad with the height of 420.3 metres (1379'6"), it gives a width of 28.75 metres (94'4"). That's a height-to-wide ratio of 14.62

Indeed a great find. Now all we need are renders.

I really want to see some proper renders of this one, I disliked it from the initial pictures, but maybe New York could actually pull a giant stick box off? Also, why is the thread title only in feet?!

Most people know what that mean and are familiar with feet instead of meters, but yes it could also be in feet and in meters both.

Same. Didn't like it from the initial renders either, but given this projects clientele, it should be very high end materials.

Either way, it's pretty incredible that 1 WTC could only hold the title of tallest building in the city for a few years. And it looks like the complex as a whole could be really really nice.

Thanks a lot bbribs!

All buildings should have the top floors as usable space, not mechanical and roof. In the diagram above, two 'floors' for roof and two for 'mech'? That's a lot of expensive super-view dollars they are giving away!

15.5 ft. floor to floor heights...talk about getting the most height out of an 89-floor residential tower! If this gets completed before the Pentominium, it will have the highest residential floor in the world at 397m.

Great to see the drawings...fantastic find. Interesting that it appears they will open the existing plaza to be a walk through from 57 to 56 between Turnbull and Asser and Phillips...this will be a huge improvement over the dark dead-end it is now. Do we know what the 57 street side will look like? Will it be another retail space or just open to the tower? Okay now I see in the third drawing the proposed 6 story building between the tower and 57th st. So that is two major retail space , hotel and residential tower. Can't wait to see this all rise above ground. This is will be huge boost to the neighborhood. Would love to see street level elevation renders.

Today they were bringing more truck loads of re-bar as you can see they are continuing the forming along the western perimeter. 38 57th is now a small pile of rumble should be pretty much gone by the end of day...more empty dumpsters were being delivered.

Brilliant. Have the person paying the most take the elevator... and then still need to take stairs 2-3 stories to reach his penthouse.

I dunno for sure but I think given the small size of the floor plates this building might rise very quickly, maybe even quicker than the ESB did. Well, I hope it will and for now I'm so incredibly happy that this will be taller than 1WTC

Hope this starts rising soon. I'm so incredibly happy it will be the second tallest building in the city.

Less floor space doesn't mean that the concrete become hard faster.

Exactly..And it will take time to install huge amount of rebars in there which can't be done in hurry..It won't rise any faster than every normal concrete building..No mater how small floors are..

That's true, though won't it be at least a bit faster because of smaller floor plates? I'm no pro so I might very well be wrong though

So DOB lists this as 1,380 feet tall. I always thought that DOB filings only show a building's height as the last occupied floor. On the other hand, the 1,380 figure is pretty much the roof (based on the diagram posted).

Another question: is the DOB filing definite? Or is there still a possibility of change in height parameters?

DOB filings show the height of the highest occupied floor and therefore exclude crowns and mechanicals located above that height, neither of which apply here.
