You must not follow the NYC threads very closely, because there are two monster towers that will be built in that gap, one of which is U/C now.

Apartments are definitely amazing but the thing is that the whole building is literally a very tall box.

First of all, you must read what other people write more carefully and with understanding:

Which would be fine if it were shorter, but the fact that it breaks the plateau, I feel it should have a much more elaborate pinnacle like others that are that tall, such as Chrysler, ESB, and BofA. It needs setbacks, a crown, a spire, something to add flair. But that's just my opinion.

Just give it a couple years. The Aon Center towers look great in LA and Chicago, and 432 is going to have a similar relationship to this stretch of skyline, serving as a complementary piece to a couple taller, more elaborate towers. Add to that a handful of supertall-or-near-supertall fillers (520 and 425 Park, Tower Verre and 220 CPS), and when this cycle is complete, I think you'll find 432 to be a perfect fit.

KVLY TV mast

What I dislike is, this was built before I was born and it was tallest pinnacle in the US, (Manmade) and IT WILL BE the tallest pinnacle, when I die.. Frustrating!
So sad for Americans.. Whereas, China and Middle East thrive... F*@# Terroism!

Well most Americans could care less about skyscrapers, and i personally wouldn't want something that tall to ruin New Yorks gorgeous skyline

For those who understand German: http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/unt...a-1010675.html
The article is very critical of the project, but there are some nice pictures and info.
