Well, if this one is marketed as 89, it could also become 75?

This isn't just marketed as having 89 floors, it actually has that many. They could go less, but that would get very confusing for residents and visitors.

And pretty confusing for the elevator designer. I suppose they could do floor 75A, 75B, 75C, etc....

Just played with my calculator a bit and I find this very interesting:

The tower is centered almost exactly in the middle of the block.
I like this given the square symmetry used throughout he design.

Everything is angular in this design. So that spot in the middle fits perfect in the design.

Well lets say for an example that each floor is 20 feet tall so 100 feet would be 5 floors...50 floors would be 1000 feet...this building is 1380 feet so it would be 64 floors at that...so at 10 feet per floor it would be double that 128 floors....so I would say it would be somewhere between both which is 96 floors rough estimate but I could be wrong lol

Didn't the Twins have more than 100 real floors?

No permits have been filed for the actual tower. Thus, the inference that the height is now 420m is misplaced.

They were filed merely in connection with the six story retail base. They have nothing to do with the actual tower, for which nothing has been filed yet. In fact, these permits were filed before it was Branded 432 Park, which is not the towers address.

I doubt the architect just drew that picture for the hell of it. There's certainly the possibility the tower's height could change, but I'll wager 1380 feet is what we'll see.

if it was 1380 ft it can have 138 floors. Some hotels in america have some serious compression with floors with LESS than 10 ft per floor. so this can have as many as 145 floors.

In your dreams.
That would be very claustrophobic, not only small floor space but also a low ceiling.
If it would be like that, this tower would have the second most floors behind the Burj Khalifa and that tower is almost twice as high.
( and yes I know the top part of the Burj is only spire )

You cannot sell apartments with a floor height of < 10 ft.
But if I understand Robert correctly, there is no certainty about either floor count or height and this is all speculation?

It's not speculation per se, it's just that the construction permit for the actual tower hasn't been filed yet. I guess we still have to wait for an official release.

Until the building is finished whose to say what the final height will be. Remember the Chrysler Building?

But seriously, why would would an architect and developer bother including the drawing in the DoB filing? For shits and giggles?

The drawings were submitted solely in connection with the retail base. Nothing has been filed with respect to the actual tower, which makes sense because CIM can still acquire nos. 36 and 48.
