I wonder have there been any problems/danger/accidents of ice and snow falling from skyscrapers on to the streets and people this winter ?

We have that problem/danger here in Finland almost every winter, whenever we have snowy winters, although we don't have any skyscrapers but only highrises here...
So I'm thinking that, that problem must be much worse in a city full of skyscrapers and very high drops (deadly velocities for anything falling)...?

Like most modern towers, there are stairwells inside the concrete core, which is fireproofed. I know the staircases in this building are "scissored," overlapping in order to allow the core to be thinner, but I don't know if that has any practical effect on their safety or effectiveness in the event of an evacuation. Might be slightly more complicated to navigate for rescue workers, but for residents, I think it's just a matter of grabbing the first door and heading down.

Could this be the first tower where you can see the whole Manhattan island from the top !? Sweet.
