Everyone have it's pick, mine is Chrysler, over ESB, so no matter how tall they might build in the future, Chrysler will still be first for me.
Yea the Chrysler is a gem too. Can't argue that.

No worries about 432 Park standing all by its lonesome self. Stay tuned.. Soon 432 Park will be joined by Nordstrom, 220 CPS, Steinway, Park Lane, Rizzoli, Tower Verre, 520 Park Ave & 252 East 57th! The Central Park Skyline will be amazing.

I made a model of this tower for Cities:Skylines. If you're playing the game and like 432 PA you can download it

Haven't had a chance to pick up the game yet (work's getting crazy), but absolutely can't wait. Will download this right away once I do.

Everyone is entitled to like it, but for me, Manhattan is ruined by boxes. It can have all the styles it wants, but skyscrapers need to be slender and soaring, with setbacks and elegance. That's what really makes or rather made this place for me. Cityscape steadily ruined. Finally re-introduce the Zoning Resolution for setbacks!

I'm a bit more hopeful with soaring designs like One57, Tower Verre, Steinway Tower, Nordstrom, One Vanderbilt, and various Robert Stern / RAMSA towers though.
The Zoning Code is the reason why the buildings going up now are so slender...if it were a larger lot size, with a different FAR, you'd get a totally different massing.

That's why Shvo's copy-cat downtown is a copycat; pretty much the same lot dimensions and similar FAR. This tower, and the others like it, pretty much mean nothing more than developers wanting to just build as-of-right, and special market conditions that make it possible to sell these types of [full floor] condos.

I am neutral to the project. Although it is anticipated that more similar buildings will be coming up (which might be good), I am really surprised a pencil tower project with significant impact on the city skyline is approved by the planning board.

question about the game friend

i just learned about this game, looks like a winner for a skyscraper fan
but is it like the CIV games where users can mod it and create scenarios??
i'd love to build my own cities with different landmarks from around the world (which i'm sure, if like the civ games, would create some cool buildings originally not included in the game)

It's more like Sim City, and has no scenarios at all. But the game was made in Unity engine which allows for easy modding. The game was released circa 3 weeks ago and the amount of avaliable mods and assets is already overwhelming Now, let's not get off topic here though.

What makes 432 special is what it means for every global city in the world. It is the future, and it did it in an un assuming understated fashion. Which gives it class and style. Love it. Also love all the views of New York. Makes me appreciate how big Chicago is... But how massive NYC is. Cheers to America. Global cities are the global powers of the next generation. Good to know we have at least 1 in America.. Maybe 2 or 3 more...

Incredible view! Approximately, how long and wide is Central Park? It appears to be more massive than I originally thought.

The length is four fold the height of Kingdom tower and the breadth is one Burj Khalifa
