I love how 432 Park Avenue looks like it's reaching forever into the sky on cloudy days. Not to mention that 432 is probably the only tower in New York that truly has this effect because it has no setbacks.

As per commercial observer, 432 Park is 70% Sold.

Is 57th Street the Most Overpriced Block in the U.S.?

That is good because 70% sold probably means they already are at break even. One 57th is sold for 99%.

The last part of the article is a bit disturbing. Could the market slow down in the near future?

Quote:
“The number of New Yorkers that are going to buy at $7,000 to $10,000, the market’s way too small for us,” Mr. Blau said. “And you’re dependent on what’s happening around the world. And now you’re not just in the condo-selling business, you’re in the global speculation business. What happened to all the Russians that were buying because oil prices were at $100? Well they’re gone. What happened to all the Middle Easterners? They’re gone. What happened to all the Chinese buyers? Well, they’re not doing so great either. So, it kind of brings a whole new dynamic… well not new, a different dynamic to the table… Everyone says, ‘well how deep is the market?’ I don’t know.”

like NYCH said, nothing lasts forever but the fact that these buildings have sold how they are is a good sign and that the market isn't going too far down too soon.

We're getting a new skyscraper proposal like once a week at this point and because of demand not just to show off like some places.

I think they have to get some elevators going and take the hoist down first. But most important all mechanical equipment has to be in place.

Yup, you're right, they started to clad the parapet floors. Once this is done the building will have the appearance of its full height
