Really doubt something to dwarf 432 will be built in the near future.

But with all the mega towers filling in slowly, it will look less and less out of place like it look now.

I'm patiently waiting for the completion of this tower. The concrete facade is top class and the 'floating towers' concept looks like it will turn out perfectly as envisioned. Now we wait for the rest of the protective coating on the windows and the orange netting around the mechanical floors to be removed.

I think it will look better when the "Gaps" in the glassing is finished. The pattern will help it look better

Do you mean where the orange netting currently is? Those will not have windows. (Except the very top ones)

I think that's exactly what he means, that we can't fully judge the tower until the nets come down and the mechanical floors are open to the sky.

This.

Nah, they were obviously on weed. Alcohol would have resulted in better architecture. However, Jean Nouvel and SHoP were clearly on cocaine with their towers, because the renders look awesome while the rest of their work is cheap-looking shit.

I see that they were all pretty on smoke weed! The only one who was not, was the architect of the WTC, otherwise it is a mixture of weed, coke and pervitin!

here's a magnificent photo of the central park skyline. Undoubtedly this will be one of the greatest skyscraper walls in the world.

rather a "thorn in the panoramic view of downtown"

I wonder how they have solved the serviceability elevators. One will be waiting half an hour in the highest floor, until it is their turn? Or will it be faster come down 1000 stairs?

Opinions are just that opinions. For instance I hate 1 WTC. To me it is the ugliest of all the modern towers, and I actually prefer 432 over it. I find it more elegant, but not the best. But that's my opinion and yours is different. There is no such thing as right or wrong opinions so you have your opinion and the rest of us have ours.

This is a residential tower with less than 100 units. It is not an office building with thousands of workers going up and down, just a few permanent residents, with half the units being 2nd homes for the super rich. So we are talking about just a few dozen people in the building at any one time. Even one elevator would be fine, but it has two. So no worries.

What is at 1 WTC ugly? I am therefore rather a supporter of the status of both the original towers.

Great, another WTC discussion. Let's not do this and stay on topic?

Do not worry the topic remains, just what is the difference between the tower and the Lower Manhattan 432 Park Ave?

Yes only 3 elevators are a little bit on the 89-story building.

Simply, this is a polarizing building. Don't expect many neutral opinions for this one.

Well it is nearing completion and becoming a more known commodity. Many folks may have been reserving opinion until seeing the final product. Many may be reacting to the recent publications and news about it's pending completion. There has been some national news about this building considering it's prominent statistics and impact on the skyline.
