I've been following the construction of this tower for a very long time now....

I find it amazing its simplicity and height makes it fascinating. ..

I don't know if it fits the new york skyline well... I feel like it looks out of place, but surely I love the tower.. I'd love to buy an apartment there someday.

Greetings guys!

I guess the inconvenience of running out of milk is something a Russian Oligarch isn't accustomed to.

Granted it's hard to imagine how anyone with that kind of money feels - I certainly wouldn't expect anyone to become a hermit if they can afford this type of luxury.

What I meant by the isolation is knowing that you're so high up, but 'life' is happening hundreds of feet below you. It must be a strange sensation laying in your bed looking out the window to nothing but sky yet everyone else is going on about their business so far below you.

No amount of money or friends, personally speaking, could make that sense of detachment and seclusion seem any less real - maybe that speaks more about my psyche than anything else.

Although I agree that it would be better if it is posted in a thread about one of the WTC towers but that is not much of a prob

There are so many types of billionaires so hard to tell
Anyway if they are living in it permanently they may just bring their kids as well.

But its hard to tell as not everyone is the same the only difference is these guys have a lot of money

The discussion of loneliness in relation to this building is perplexing. It will be no more or less lonely than any other apartment building. Entertaining people at home is relatively less common in dense cities where people have small apartments. The people in this building can afford to eat out or go to social events regularly and on top of that will have a home that is large enough and nice enough to entertain guests.

In terms of commuting and convenience, note that with so few units, there is little elevator demand. I doubt they will be waiting longer than people in shorter, more densely populated buildings.

Cool pics! What a slim tower but looks beautiful from everywhere and in combination with the skyline and Central Park, too.
