I suggest not buying an apartment in there then.
...or visiting Central Park

Your avatar is very appropriate. Why can't you accept that not everyone LOVES the design of this building and move on with your life without having a hissyfit ?

Honestly, height aside.... it's the most boring skyscraper being built today,., but hey... it's in Manhattan, so we should all bow our heads and worship it !??

This is a FORUM.... a forum is for differing OPINIONS.

Deal with it and grow up.

Oh, please. The avatar, along with the previous post are meant to poke fun at how seriously people get over these developments.

Referring to the spire on 1WTC as a "stick" or calling 432P a "matchstick" or "candlestick" are among the most hyperbolic statements ever made on this forum, in recent memory.

I would also like to direct you to develop a sense of humor and not take everything (including yourself) so seriously...

In late 1929, Alfred E. Smith, the leader of a group of investors erecting the Empire State Building, announced that they were increasing the height of the building to 1,250 feet from 1,050. Mr. Smith, a past governor of New York, denied that competition with the 1,046-foot-high Chrysler Building was a factor. “We are measuring its rise by principles of economic investment rather than spectacular standards,” he told The

The extra 200 feet, it was announced, was to serve as a mooring mast for dirigibles so that they could dock in Midtown, rather than out in Lakehurst, N.J., the station used by the German Graf Zeppelin. Mr. Smith said that at the Empire State Building, airships like the Graf, almost 800 feet long, would “swing in the breeze and the passengers go down a gangplank”; seven minutes later they would be on the street.

In my opinion it is an uncommonly looking building because of its height/cross-section dimension ratio, but it is not bad-looking at all.

Very controversial building. Would be interesting to see the votes when it's in the rate our tallest section.
For me it's o.k. and at night it looks even really nice.

My first thought when I saw that were both buildings designed by the same architect? Very similar look...just smaller.

So you're just some cyberwaste, pal. Just stay on your where on earth Nantes thread.

P.S. I love Paris and NYC, because of totally different reasons.

God! What an utter mess of tasteless buildings!! NY should look more like Marseille, Lyon, Nantes or Montpellier. Those cities have far better modern architecture. And just look at their skylines, France has really done a great job. Except for la defense of course.
