If you look closer you can see the cranes of 220CPS and Nordtsrom already warning us of what's coming

That's exactly what I thought when I saw that pic. NYC's skyline varies so much depending on which angle you see it, it never gets old. In fact the UES with all its high rises makes for a pretty cool skyline by itself.
And to think the largest towers are yet to come in that pic...see you in the next 3-5 years.

Just as a matter of interest what would constitute LARGE in the context of tall buildings in NYC, large as in 3000 ft plus like the Kingdom Tower or the far more modest Shanghai Tower at 2000 ft plus.

New York does an incredibly poor job at preservation!

there was an article on whether or not the cladding already needed a repair, what's up with that, anyone knows? Was that just an vain trial to bring the quality of new york construction down?

Well, it does sound like there's some envy in the text.

But I see no pictures, let alone some other evidence of these so-called ''cracks''.
Just wait until this is up and running, then we'll see.

I'm not sure I get that question, there's no context that defines what is "large" in NYC. It could be 1500' tomorrow or 2000' next year, whichever is the tallest building under construction is the largest.
Now if your question is what is the tallest building under construction, that would be the Central Park Tower at 1550' (unofficially).

And no offense to those other cities but they ain't Gotham...

Don't know if it happens more, but the webcam was just turning and you could also see 252 East 57th.
