A perfect crown to this building would have been a cylinder protruding from the top, it would have given the appearance that it ran all the way through.

Interesting idea. I do think that could have worked well with the design. A crown of any other design might have detracted from the purity of the design.

Or perhaps a cylinder rounded into a dome with one continuous material. Of course it would have to be lit in the same manner as the mechanical floor drums.

Every time I come to this thread I'm hoping to see the netting removed and lighting finalized. So torturous...

Yes but remember you would also have seen the silver cylinders go all the way down through the building.....

Is it still snowing in NY? Or the whiteness of those rooftops in the above pictures is their natural color?
And two pics above.. what building, which I believe it u/c, is that on the right all lit up?

Lots of buildings in the us have put on white roofs for energy savings.
