This tower will join the 400m+ club of residential only towers:

1. World One 442m (roof), Mumbai
2. Diamond Tower 432m (395m roof), Jeddah
3. 432 Park Avenue 420m (roof), New York
4. Princess Tower 414m (360m roof), Dubai

So if we go by roof height it's going to be the second tallest residential tower in the world.

You better say. Once people start to notice the impact this building will have, it will only be half way up.

Gosh I'm so excited for this building, I will bike over there every other day when it's under construction and admire it from afar when it's completed.

I love this construction site, it's so New York style. In other cities big towers like this one go up on o huge plot, mostly no buildings around it. Here, you got only a small corner in an already super-dense area. The tower's base meets the street where people buzz all day long. Just awesome.

Hey folks, I'd have a small question, I see the height increased from 421 to 426 meters in the thread name. Is this accurate? Did the tower really have a height increase? Anybody got any new plans of the building like the one of the roof of the 421 meter version posted like 2 months ago?

The 1,397 feet height is the current height at the moment. It may change however. CIM could acquire a nearby property and be able to build much higher.

Progress shots from 2/27, 4/1, and 5/6. Major work has been done, and excavation almost looks complete.

They still have to finish these concrete walls. And as we saw from the past year of progress it can take some time. But I would say another two or three months and the hole should be ready.

so....this thing will obviously have an architectural/roof higher than the 1WTC... what about the Willis/Sears? Will it beat the roof/top-floor height of the Sears too? If yes, then this will be the tallest roof/top-floor height in the western hemisphere no?

that sucks ....they should revise the design and make it 1455' instead, just to be able to say we got a taller roof/architectural than the Sears

just add an extra measly 58'

Oh yes, a measly 58 feet.

Do you know how many more millions of dollars that would cost?

This guy has made a bunch of comments like that. He thinks NYC should build a 3000 ft building just for the heck of it, I think he is forgetting this isn't Dubai. He was also saying they should make 15 Penn a 3000 FT building. He is forgetting it actually costs money to make buildings! He is probably just young though, so I wouldn't be too mean.
