Hooray! It looks so beautiful, just like I expected.
One thing I did not expected was seeing these pictures so fast. Thanks again.

It's been ten minutes, or so, and I'm still gazing at the pictures, it should be great to have some skyline pictures from Flickr, which I suppose we will have at some point, too.

Are there construction pics showing the relation of the core to the drums? or pics from the drum floors themselves post-construction?

That pic that streetscapeer posted evokes a sort of elegance/classiness that the tower did not have previously. It makes it appear "warmer." The lighting is better than expected and will be enhanced once more tenants move in.

This photo puts the building on a completely new level, as I was scrolling it gave me an impression that we speak about some never ending, infinity skyscraper, or some space elevator. Fascinating.

Poster from Dark City (1998 film)

- is this a poster from 1998 or is made in the last years?

- the tower on the left look a lot like 432 Park Avenue.

I can spot so many postmodern towers in that poster.
As I am looking at the pictures I realize 432 Park Avenue is my favorite building on the billionaire's row. I think that attitude will be enhanced even more, once the rest of the pals join the skyline, just because this one has the brave minimalist architecture.

It's amazing how much a relatively minor detail can mean to the overall impression of a tower. When the lights go on, any remaining apprehension about this design goes out the window -- everything is in balance and proportioned just right.

There are some angles in the daytime where the mechanical floor openings aren't quite so apparent and some of my misgivings come back, but at night with the lights on, this thing is perfection.

and it wouldn't be the first building that was at its most attractive only from certain angles, or at night, but otherwise underwhelming.
