Croatian cities - the best of

As it was suggested, this thread has been opened to improve the discussion about the cities from the poll Najljepši grad u Hrvatskoj and to show those cities in a different way, other then the usual panoramas. Everyone is invited to post pictures, in this order, of: the best panorama, the most beautiful square, park, promenade, street and neighbourhood. 2 pictures for each thing are enough and don't hesitate to throw in a few notes describing the picture you have posted. Everyone is welcome to show their city in a best way possible

Maybe someday this page would become a great tourist advertisment

Tvrđa,Osijek (I think everyone will agree that this is the most beautiful part of the city,after city center)

Split - panoramic view with the main focus on the city harbour and historic core.

Peristil square - ond of the landmarks of the city, in the very center of Diocletian's palace, with monumental arcades surrounded by another landmark St. Dominis chatedral and Vestibule

Prokurative square - built by famous major Bajamonti, in venetian style with red facade and arcades, Prokurative are a popular place for concerts and shows during the summer

Sustipan park - used to be a graveyard but after its transolaction to Lovrinac, it was turned into a memorial park. Clean grassfield, cypress trees, blueness of the sea on one side and whitness of the city on the other...a quiet and isolated place to relax

Matejuška and Riva promenade - standard routes for tourists and local people, together with Marmontova street make the most popular pedestrian zone. Altough the new Riva look polarised the public after it's controversal reconstruction, Matejuška has always been a pride and joy of the Split people, due to it's heavy promotor Miljenko Smoje.

Poljička avenue - together with the Homeland avenue, our main road, connects the center with the bypass. Six lanes, alley of massive trees and a green belt contribute to a very urban and metropolitan
