I found the render:

http://www.naa-arch.com/img/naa_brochure2009.pdf

It's under 54th and B'Way. It's a slender glass tower. It's not spectacular, but it is far better than what's currently on the site.

Cool! I was looking for renders yesterday and didn't luck out. So far this seems like a nice, elegant tower. I hope it can go the full height!

This is as of right. This area has special air rights transfers from the theatres, and this project purchased them.

Another hotel is planned next door, and an office building is planned next to that -- all on the same block!

This is an excellent location - right in the heart of the theater district I believe. I'm hoping the building will be a handsome addition to New York's unrivaled collection of architectural masterpieces.

It's a different world to what is currently a very miserable street corner.. and I love the way there is barely anything in a thread for a 229m tower - if this were any other city, this thread would be packed with activity. New Yorkers are spoilt for choice!

Can't believe they're tearing that building down, what's wrong with New York, first the Drake hotel and now this, don't they know how to preserve anything...

True. Why they tear down this masterpiece of the '****-architecture' period?

I agree. Why destroy this architectural work?

Anyway ... The project seems to be very good, at least the height convincing. Just did not like the exterior of the building, could have a black glass.
