Not to mention that in USA and some other countries, 300m is 984ft, nothing to "mark" about 984ft.

Also 1000ft, a nice "mark" in US, is 304.8m a very "random" value.

is also about WTC4: 298m - 977ft (so even if the tower would be 984ft (300m), would really make no difference for "average joe")

- is very tall... and that's it (977ft or 984ft)

No way, they covered up the concrete sides on the Kaufmann hotel? I thought that guy didn't care about leaving them bare

Also, this building fits NY so well, it's as if this (and 250W55th Street) have been here forever.

What they probably had in mind during the design process. This turned out pretty good with these angles.

If there are two hotels in this new building, then will they have separate facilities or will they share such facilities (like meeting rooms, restaurants, etc.)?

Ok, I asked this before but no one was able to explain this to me. the tower is really tall, And I cant figure out how they were allowed to built it that high.

FAR floor to area ratio for the site was raised from 10 to 15,
FAR=15
all lots that they bought were combined into 1, which got them 10,000 sq ft.
Lot size=10,000
Their FAR is 15 at maximum and the lot is 10,000 sq. ft. Logically they should only be able to get 150,000 sq ft

Yes they got additional + 50,000 sq ft from both theaters, 150k +50k makes a total of 200,000 sq ft. building. But This tower is now 360,000 sq ft.
nothing explains how they went from allowable 200,000 sq ft. to 360,000 sq.

My question is, where did they get 160,000 additional sq. ft. from?

Can anyone please explain?

^As a poster mentioned near the top of the page, in the US we don't care about 300m. It's 1000' (305m) or bust. 300-304m is just a bigger "almost!" disappointment.

Yeah, whenever I tell someone that a supertall is any building at least 984 feet, they look at me like I'm crazy.
