In Malaysia, the lowest bidder doesn't always secure project. By past records, i'm sure there were other reputable bidder with competitive cost other than UEM, but UEM, being UEM with so many government projects, managed to secure this project (MAHB a GLC). I am not surprised anyway, but the way i see things can be done a lot better, right from decision to where to put the new terminal to awarding the contract.

being PR fanatic doesnt mean we are against every government project (Vince can sometimes be overwhelmed by every issue), but we see things can be done better if proper process can be followed.

I for once, hope MAHB will not succumb to fat bangla pressure and complete this project in haste. I'd rather they take extra 6 months to launch rather than launch on the deadline but with many teething issue.

Fat Bangla is just another opportunist taking advantage of a weak government swarmed by Umno warlords and useless MCA transport minister.

The transport minister has not said a single word about MAHB-AirAsia tussle.

Dumb and deaf or pretending.

If you're in his position (imo, an impotent one) why would you want to waddle into a hornets' nest when it's politically correct to just skirt round the issue with noncommital grunts (read promises) of "we'll do a study on that first"

By the time this one comes online the dynamics of low cost flying in the region would have taken a different twist to it, with new operators in the picture. This is the single most important step or chance by AA for KLIA to be a potential hub giving changi and bangkok a run for their money BUT at the rate they going i am beginning to wonder!

The original completion date announced by MAHB was September 2011.

Then it was delayed to 2nd quarter of 2012 (around April 2012)

Now you are saying that it has again be delayed till April 2013???

Hmmmmmm.....
