What other city is richer than Lagos? What other city's financial profile is better than Lagos? Lagos is and always will be the financial hub of Nigeria.

Abuja will overtake Lagos, Lagos is richer than Abuja in resources, but Abuja get's a ton of money from the government. Other cities that may rise above lagos, if the metropolis remains stagnant are; Calabar, Jos, Port Harcourt, Kaduna(probably not, but worth mentioning), Enugu(maybe) and Abeokuta.

Unfortunately, Abuja gets the most of Nigeriaīs budget, so other areas are not given too much attention!

Probably Kaduna (it is the industrial heavyweight of Northern Nigeria), no for Abeokuta (what is special there???So why Abeokuta?), no for Jos (Jos has absolutely no big industry worthy of note) and Enugu (has something escaped my notice?? Enugu a metropolis??? Just new roads and expressways donīt turn a city into a metropolis )

Calabar is far too small but a nice place but it will never turn into a metropolis. It is more a tourist place.

Yes, for Port Harcourt but as long as this weird governor is in place no no and no again!

Out of them all only Port harcourt has the potential to turn into a metropolis but a lot has to be done before this status is achieved, we all know that.

Lagos is and will be the only true metropolis of Nigeria. personnaly I canīt think of any other city to take up the place of Lagos.

Yes, Nigeria does have upcoming cities but none of them will ever over take Lagos, Lagos will always be the financial capital of Nigeria. It's very important that the federal government start rebuilding the place.

ARTHABITAT3, the video is not bad, it is only a pity that it is old (April 2005) but nevertheless thanks for sharing it with us!

100% correct.
Lagos is the gateway to Nigeria. People want the goverment to fix all the problems in Nigeria, but the government is the problem. Less government intrusion into business is what Nigeria needs.
