The Danish list is far from done:

The IC4 you all have seen in this thread before:

IC3, this train started delivery in 1989-1996, as the first IC train in Denmark, its strong side is flexibility, it can add another IC3, or the electrical IR4 in under 20 seconds! up to 5 Units can be together.

Litra MQ (Desiro) Used as a lighter regional train, for small passenger rails mostly, this image is in DSB, the national rails colour, but almost all of the smaller private companies that have modern trains, have these too in their own design. I can only think of two companies with other modern trains.

Litra MR, an old DMU used as the Litra MQ is now, it is one of the best train we have had IMO, not in design or in comfort, but this bad boy just works, never heard of a broke down MR unit.

Litra ME, used for the bigger double decker regional trains at Zeeland, 2500Kw power, DSB has 36 units of these

The IC# Is not a generation number, but a cars-in-set number, so the IC3 intercity-3-cars, the IR4 interregional-4-cars, and so on. If we would have another generations of IC trains, it would have been a IC4, IC6 or maybe 8, as it would be strange to make 5 cars in a unit

Been on those before (cab ride too!) and they were nice. Comfortable split level seating on the inside.

Someone know a diesel-electric loco ?

Morocco wants to buy 40 diesel-electric loco, and I didn't find a similar model by Alstom, Bombardier, Talgo, Caf, Siemens, Ansaldo and Skoda.

Siemens has the Vectron series of which a diesel-electric version exists as well. Bombardier's Traxx platform also has a DE version. Alstom has produced diesel-electric Prima locomotives in the past which they can probably do again, but they have the Prima II now which is electric. I am sure they could produce a DE version of the Prima II if asked, they claim it to be a modular platform so it should be possible.

Lately, Alstom has been the main supplier for ONCF railway stock: they have supplied 14 Prima II electric locomotives and will also deliver a range of TGV Duplex 2N2-sets... so I think a DE-version of the Prima II is not unlikely.

It was 20 Prima 2 :Alstom Prima II Locomotives | 140 km/h (Freight) - 200 km/h (Passengers) | 6 400 kw | 20 Units | #Acquired

For the TGV 2N2 the number is 14 (it was previous 18) : TGV Duplex | 320 km/h | 14 Units | 400 millions € | #Being Acquired

-------------

The DE version of Prima 2 exist :

http://www.alstom.com/WorkArea/Downl...?id=8589941769

-----------

We have the price of those 40 locos : 15 millions euros. They will not be new.

Recently Morocco bought to France 6 CC 72 000 which is bi-mode. And this powerful loco is used for freight to Tanger Med, but now Tanger-Tanger med line is electrificated.

Il n'était pas prévu qu'elle soit électrifiée dans le projet initiale

http://outremer.afd.fr/jahia/jsp/jah...DITERRANEE.pdf

The 40 next locomotives are probably those CC 72 000.

They are very powerful, with CO-CO bogies. 3 bogies per axle.

ONCF DF 117 (SNCF 72085) avec un train voyageur de Taourirt à Nador, près de Taourirt, Maroc

1- France bought new Alstom Prima 2 diesel,
2- Morocco will bought to France his CC 72 000 for freight traffic (phosphatos)
3- Morocco will put his old Fablok out of service

Advantage for Morocco :
- a good product for a cheaper price
- an homegene locomotives cheaper to keep active

ONCF bought 6 CC 7200 in 2006 :
