CLEVELAND Photo Tour (July 2010), Part 4: Warehouse District, Tower City
Well, better late than never, I guess, here is the fourth and final part of my trip to Cleveland last month. This part includes Tower City Center, the Warehouse District, and the second ball game.
In case you missed the other parts: Part 1: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1186281 Part 2: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1188343 Part 3: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1191557 Started out @ Tower City, Downtown Cleveland's Enclosed Retail Complex ![]() ![]() View of the Flats and the Cuyahoga River... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Key Tower peaking out behind Tower City ![]() Hard Rock Cafe, where I ate supper, I figured I would eat here since I did go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. ![]() ![]() Inside the Hard Rock... ![]() Interior of Tower City... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Terminal Tower ceiling detail... ![]() Terminal Tower lobby... the observation deck was open from 12-4 pm that day and I arrived at 3:00 pm only to find out they had stopped selling tickets at 2:30 pm, which was a bit frustrating. I was never told and I never read ANYWHERE that you had to get tickets in advance or by 2:30 pm for this and if the observation deck is open from 12-4, why do you STOP selling tickets at 2:30? I guess I should have asked, oh well, what can you do? ![]() ![]() Downtown from the Warehouse District ![]() ![]() ![]() Cleveland's Warehouse District... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RTA Waterfront Line Tracks ![]() Many of the old factories in this area have been converted to condos or lofts... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Carl B. Stokes Federal Court House Building ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Key Tower ![]() ![]() ![]() Back of Progressive Field ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Looking on I-90 towards Toledo from Progressive Field ![]() ![]() I like the shots better from up here, a clear central view of the field and awesome skyline shots... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Downtown from the upper part of the Stadium ![]() ![]() Clouds started to roll in... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In the 9th inning, it began to rain, thus delaying the game and forcing me to go back to my hotel room for the night, as I had to leave early the next day for home ![]() Many people left, I stuck around for a while to see if they could get the game started again... ![]() But no luck... Tigers lost the game, 2-1, thus losing BOTH GAMES I saw in Cleveland... ![]() It was a great trip, though. Hope to make it back someday! Hope y'all enjoyed my pictures!

Like I said before, Cleveland has it's gems. I am curious, what is that large lot ? Any development going there in the future ? It's near Downtown and it's quite large, some industrial stuff nearby, but the lot looks huge.

Great photos! StormShadow, In one of the shots there is a huge empty space. That's part of the East Bank Redevelopment project. They are suppose to build a hotel there I believe, as well as office and housing. When I left Clevelend in Dec 2008 it was on hold due to the downturn. I'm not sure if things are back on track or not since I don't like in Cleveland anymore.

This was a heck of a thread. I was in Cleveland for the first time last month, and was surprised by how clean, pretty, and dense it was. These photos really further that point. Good job!
