Bosco, if you truly feel like this then you'd stop being petty and throwing tantrums and actually be part of the solution rather than the problem. As for the "misinformation" posted on this forum - if there is any help clear it up.

I apologise for not being a "real" Stockholmer, however, I don't think that precludes me from doing my job as a moderator, which by the way you are unsuited for due to your attitude towards other members. A moderator isn't just one who posts information, it is a member who controls discussions and acts as a mediator in disputes between members. As far as activity levels go, well, I try my best and I do read the forum daily if not posting daily. Not everyone has enough leisure time to tour Stockholm and take photos and if you do, fantastic, post them or stop complaining.

Also, I notice your diatribes have been turned on me specifically as I disagreed with your notion to separate Sweden from the N&B section, prompting you to leave, hence your comments here. I have supported you in the past when others have called for you to be brigged or banned for your attitude so I would suggest that you take a good strong look in the mirror before posting.

I have never wanted to become a moderator. It has never been my ambition at all. You have even asked me if I wanted to become a moderator and if you shouldn't ask the other moderators and I said no. So I don't understand what you are on about. I probably am unsuitable, but why did you ask me then? Anyway it has never been my ambition so there is nothing to discuss!

And I have not turned on you as you wrote. I just wrote what I thought should be done to make the stockholm section better and I also thanked you among others for your great contribution with your building pictures. I suppose you translated my swedish into english and it made it sound worse then it was ment, or mayby I'm too frank? I don't know! At least I tried to come up with somehing for a better forum!

I won't interfere anymore I promise! I hope things get better because this is great forum! Cheers!

I offered to hand over moderation as you were unhappy with how the section was being run (this was after the Stockholm section was first set up). That was before the outburst at Norwegians that happened before you left with regards to Sweden not fitting into the N&B section due to Norwegian trolls - hence my comments about being unsuitable.

I am glad you appreciate the small contribution I have had time to make recently, but yes, I did have to translate some of what you wrote as my comprehension of Swedish is still shaky. I don't see why being a native Stockholmer is a prerequisite of being a contributor or an effective mod though. The Swedish section needs little moderation, but the shared N&B sections need more unfortunately due to off-topic country clashes and what not.

Like I said though, it's one thing to say that there is misinformation on the forum and that there are no updates, but it is another to correct the information and to post updates. Like I said above, correct things and be helpful as I know we'd all appreciate that a lot more than just criticism.

It wasn't just criticism was it? I wanted to make people find ways of geting involved.

And I think you need some native stockholmers to get the section really active, it doesn't exclude others, but over time the threads need that. If you want people to get really devoted. And as many as possible. That is how I feel but I might be wrong. What would happen if you took out the natives in the other capitals of the Nordic & Baltic section?

And then I wrote that people who want to be active should correct information that they see is wrong.

Quote:
Vill man vara del av ett aktivt forum här så får man nog göra det
And I also hoped that more people wanted to become active. Many only read the information written here but there are very few responses and that shouldn't be the case. People have great knowledge.

Sorry if that was wrong! I feel a bit of a language barrier here and I should have written in english.

I think it's so sad how the Stockholm threads have turned out and I hope the activity level changes. I really do! Sorry for my making my voice heared, I understand it can irritate people since I'm not active anymore, so I'll shut up.

I like it. It's such a colorful break from the surrounding buildings. I always feel a bit happier when I go by it with pendeln.

The new apartment building next to it must be one of the most boring new buildings in Stockholm though. It takes the "nyfunkis-box in white (and in this case, red)"-style to the extreme. I know there are plans for more new buildings in the area, and I really hope they're more interesting than that building.

I like the new facade myself. Passed by it a number of times and I think it's a big improvement over the white/grey/dull new style of some buildings being built.

http://www.dn.se/sthlm/ny-vag-kan-av...are-tunnelbana

Some small Citybanan and Norra Länken updates, forgive the camera.

The future path of the concrete tunnel of Citybanan near Stockholm S

The future northern ticket hall for Odenplan station at the intersection of Dalagatan/Vanadisvägen

Progress on Norra Länken's Värtan junction

Storängsvägen open again after 3 years of concrete tunnel construction under it

Progress on Norra Länken's concrete tunnels at Norrtull

Nice update! The road construction is ugly as sin, but it's great to see Citybanan coming along so well!

A new pendeltåg line: Älvsjö - Uppsala

Starting from 9th of december SL suburban trains (pendeltåg) will be operating between Älvsjö (Stockholmsmässan/Stockholm International Fairs) and Uppsala! That means the connection between Stockholm city center and the northern suburbs will be even more easy as the new line will complement the existing one between Södertälje hamn/Östertälje and Märsta. However, the popular 'Upptåget' line between Upplands Väsby and Uppsala will be changed to Uppsala - Sala.

Source: http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel...rtikel=5029679 (in Swedish). The new was also published in 'Sigtunabyggden' where I read it myself.

Also for us Stockholmers who enjoy heading up to Uppsala for a trip (I really like the city myself).

The new commuter train between Uppsala and Stockholm could be fantastic, but one thing worries me. From the information available at the moment, the train will run on a 30 minute schedule for most of the day, and a 60 minute schedule in the evenings. If that's the case, the number of connections Stockholm - Uppsala will actually decrease compared to now, since Upptåget runs on a 30 minute schedule until after midnight every day. For me who often works nights, that might mean I'll have half as many departures that I'll be able to take.
