Pictures 1-4 show the settlement outside the wall.
Pictures 5-10 show the wall.
Pictures 11-41 show the city itself, with 21 showing the townhall and 28-30 the market square.
Pictures 42-48 show the castle.

Old towns of Germany: Büdingen (Oberhessen)

It's time for another thread of mine. This time, I will show you the rather unknown small town of Büdingen (8000 inh.), which has a quite nice old town. It's located 35km north east of Frankfurt, Hesse.

It still has a mostly undamaged wall and a castle.

I love the German style old towns. This is as charming and "old feeling" as it can get.
