Size is not a problem, if you consider population and convention industry in Kaohsiung. We need appropriate and suitable capacity, not overstate. It is useless to plan a big building and don't have enough companies to use it.
I like this convention centre more than Taipei Nangong Exhibition and Convention Centre. |

Yeah, I guess, I think Taiwan is not internationalised enough for its Economy. Top 25 economies in the world with little international Exposure. TOO MUCH POLITICS!

It looks that all proposed designs are made by Taiwanese architects or it is actually coorporate with international architectural institution?

well why didnt you go there and tell them!! you lost out, sheesh!! i cant decide which one i like. i'm not crazy about the first. i mean i like the front with all the big glass and the profile of the wavy roof. but from the top and side its too boring - just one long tube. i like the roof of the second and the overall shape. but i cant see whats going on on the side walls. and i can't see exactly the design of the 3rd one either in that pic. i really hope they do a good job on this one. it's a very great site and would suck if they ruin it with a terrible design. they should go all out and really fix up the marina better like hong kong's and singapore's and not just do it half-assed. i'm talking perfectly manicured, well constructed boardwalk, paths, docks, landscaping, etc. they should hire experts from those places to work on this. i think this is a great addition to the site. the location currently looks empty and depressed. if they do a good job it could potentially turn this area into an attractive marina.

I love it when they reserve space around the place for future highrise development, in a few years time, Kaohsiungs Skyline will be amazing. Way better than Taipei. Density control in Taipei is non-existent
