Rain about 1 minute away..

..and its raining!

Back in the sun!

The Lithuanian/Russian border runs somewhere close. The peninsula sticking out to the left is already Kaliningrad.

Beautiful pics and very enticing. I am one of these guys who's more interested in Central Europe and the Baltic States. Does the Canadian dollar go a long way in Lithuania? Paris and London can wait.

[QUOTE=taimis;84827370]Some more of Lithuania.

First of all, the so called pink soup, made with beetroot and sour-milk and served chilled with warm potatoes, actually tastes amazing and a must try!

Poles eat something similar called Barszcz. Ukrainians call it Borscht. Some Canadians do not like this. They are missing out I say.

Well 1 Canadian dollar is about 2.5 litas, so lets say that that soup would cost just more than 2 dollars. And you are right, you can find something similar in terms of the soup elswhere close in the region but I guess thats the same with any culinary heritage- its hard to claim any dish as exclusively from one place.
