Me parece que esta de más poner las fotos de los politicos cuando inauguran algo, como cuando ponian a larreta en los trenes de la B, es innecesario.

Work on the project is expected to start in 2016 and will take four years to complete

Systra completed studies of the 8.6km link, which will have 12 stations, at the end of 2014. The line is expected to cost $US 700-800m to construct and will be served by seven-car trains operating at 90 second headways. The line will serve up to 500,000 passengers per day and will utilise communications-based train control (CBTC) and platform screen doors

The Pre-candidate for the presidency and Mayor of Buenos Aires Mauricio Macri launched the RER (Red Expresa Regional) consist it in unite the 6/7 suburban lines (800 km) in new 16 km tunnel and new central Station in Obelisco (Downtown Buenos Aires) and three more stations. The cost rises 1.8 billion dollars. 4 years of construction and 8 years all works finished.

How are they going to solve the differences in electrification and track gauges between the lines? If I'm not mistaken Belgrano Notre/Sur are (non-electrified) meter-gauge, General Roca is broad-gauge with overhead electrification, Mitre is also broad-gauge but with 3rd rail and finally San Martin is non-electrified broad-gauge.

The map shows that the tunnel would connect all five, but in the video the tunnel only has two tracks? I don't find it likely they would be re/double-gauging large parts of the Belgrano lines. If they are going with just a double track tunnel what will probably happen is that they will either:

a) Connect General Roca only with San Martin (electrified with overhead wires along with the tunnel).
or
b) Connect General Roca with both San Martin and Mitre lines in which case San Martin and the tunnel will have 3rd rail electrification and they'll buy dual-system trains.

Thoughts?

Needs federal aprobbation, it's a project of 1950.

The Belgranos are unite in one tunnel of two tracks (1065 mm) and electrificated 25kv ac. in second stage. Only in the first stage the Belgrano Sur line will be unite in the Plaza Constitución Station operation. (Platforms 1 and 2 will be 1065 mm)
The Mitre, Roca and San Martin lines (1676 mm) are united and the catenary 25 kv. ac of the Roca line will be extended at stations Palermo in San Martin line, Colegiales yard in Mitre R and Belgrano C yard in Mitre C in the first stage. The central stations of Buenos Aires will be operate normal as on day.

RER: The Sarmiento Line passes down the "new central" line down 9 de Julio Ave. for Avenida de Mayo in one pre-existent tunnel and the new Station box will be ubicated in Avenida de Mayo y 9 de Julio Ave. and the second station will be ubicated in the ex Argentine Post Office bulding now Centro Cultural del Bicentenario.
