Yes because it's a Japanese standard it was bought in the first stage of electrification in 70's.

El acceso es enorme. Parece más grande que el de Parque Patricios (quizás es igual, pero la percepción fue esa). Una fiesta.

En la estación Santa Fe no vi avances claros, así que no saqué fotos. Pero vi más andamio y lo que creo es un comienzo de encofrado. Creo que en un par de semanas toma fuerza. No me dio para seguir hasta Córdoba jeje.

The evasion rates in the railways are so much elevated (for the horrible service in the last years), the turnstiles are very necessary and ugly

For zone fares, the prices are strongly funded by Federal Gov.
With SUBE (card)
The first section (12 km) $ARS 2.00 = 0.20 USD
The second section $ARS 3.00 = 0.30 USD
The third section $ARS 6.00 = 0.60 USD
The four section (suburban trains) $ARS 7.00 or more (depends for line).
Retired people, students pays $ARS 1.20-1.80 = 0.12-0.18 USD

Without SUBE the prices are double.

In the first period 1994-2001 aprox the service are good but in Linea San Martin and Linea Roca the service was extremely poor and deficient, the 2001-13 period the service in all lines except Urquiza and Belgrano Norte was horrible, dirty, (The linea Roca and Linea San martin passed of mixed company at one new company owned for the national state and private operators company) the rolling stock in service in 2012 in all lines was a half than 1990 or least (the companies have a plans for new rolling stock before 2001 but the 2001 crisis....). Today the services are good but the frequencies and speed are bad because the old signals technology (the replacing for ATS is coming and in works depends in each line) and rail infraestructure (changes of tracks especially)

News electrification Linea Roca - Plaza Constitución - La Plata section: The CNRT (National Transport Regulatory Commission) approves three new sections of catenary and rejected one section because have some problems in the wires, the rejected section (1.5 km) will be replaced for new wires and the old wires is wasted.
