ARGENTINA: On December 18 President Mauricio Macri joined Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, head of the Buenos Aires city government, to officially open the extension of metro Line H from Corrientes to Las Heras.

Bringing metro services to over 75 000 inhabitants, this latest extension to Line H currently serves one intermediate station at Córdoba. The station at Santa Fe between Córdoba and Las Heras is due to open in April 2016, once work has been completed to provide interchange with Pueyrredón station on Line D

I didnt know BA has so many BRT lines. How do they look like? Are they separated like these in Bogota? Or they are just bus lanes with normal stops? Any pics?

The Buenos Aires BRT it's a exclusive central lanes with stops for 400 meters and normal buses, various services (almost 5-10 lines) they are not as bogota (special buses with doors in both sides and special stops).

New stations H subways

despues de 4 minutos, el tren ya estaba en Las Heras




subiendo al vestibulo y en este








la unica salida que conduce hacia la calle


de nuevo esperando el tren para volver


la continuacion del tunel hacia Fac de Derecho


ya en cordoba de otra vez, mucha gente en esa estacion, al contrario de Las Heras donde no habia tanto movimiento de gente




la escalera que lleva hacia el acceso que da sobre av Cordoba






la misma escalera , pero vista desde la calle


los planos de evacuacion! noten que ambas estaciones tienen escaleras y salidas de emergencia adicionales que seguramente llevan directo a la calle, algo que ninguna otra estacion de subte de la red tiene, lo que supone una novedad. Vestibulo de estacion Cordoba

Not in general, but the 3rd. rail EMUs have problems with the collector and they are replaced.

Is not real BRT, is just dedicated lanes in some parts. I think there isn't a single bus line in BA that starts and finishes within a dedicated lanes. Moreover almost no bus is high-capacity.

Metrobus is just a marketing brand in BA.

Now it seems the government wants "Metrobus" to steal passengers to more efficient and ecologic trains.
Most new metrobus-wannabe are in same axes of existing suburbs railways.

Buenos Aires Metrobus isn't a BRT. It is just a bus lane with a plenty of "colectivo" lines. It isn't a real "metro bus" like Curitiba, Bogotá and Mexico City.
