It is strange how many modern Chinese cities looks exactly the same. Then you dont have to waste any money and time travelling to these places..

Agree with you.

There are differences if you look carefully, including local culture/tradition.

But since the main composition of the city is buildings, almost all of them build in the same era, all of them has the same building theme. Also almost all Chinese city build in the flat land, there's no geographic uniqueness that make them different from one to another.

You should wait 20-30 years later, at that time, newly emerging cities will be different from the cities build in 1995-2010.

Just my opinion.

morden parts are the same. i think the same in the whole world. but suzhou city has a large eara of "old city district" and tons of ancient scenery, that's unique.

not strange, American cities are identical to each other as well. most modern cities are boring
