I am not sure about present, but in 2012 LF was something around 87%, quite impressive. Low prices really stimulate demand. El Dee, back in the way VNO-AMS was very profitable for FlyLAL, Estonian Air tried to operate this route with B735. This time ERJ is smaller, and perhaps perfect such flights, it might be upgraded to ERJ 175 any time. Furthermore, LTU looks forward to using 190 or 195 in the future. Anyway, we will how it will go. It might turn into double daily some day ;]

Air Lituanica is going to use codeshares which means it's hard to predict success of the route comparing with point to point carrier.

Yes, as someone has noticed in one blog, Turkish Airlines started in 1993 with 5 aircraft. Today it's got 217, one of the highest number of destinations and is the best rated airline in Europe by Skytrax. Pretty impressive.

That's right. Still impressive record nonetheless.

Air Lituanica Embraer E-170 in Vilnius earlier today

Photos by Augustas Didžgalvis (from Air Lituanica FB page)

And that's right, until recently it had this livery

I must say I much prefer Air Lituanica livery and colors.

Scheduled flights start on the 30th of June to Brussels (daily).

Hah. Weak PR-trick: Lithuanian flag on aircraft with Estonian registration.
Strange that Lithuanians decided to cooperate with weak Estonian Air instead of /not so/ weak airBaltic. It looks like cooperation against BT.
Hope Air Lithuanica will have better success than Star1.

AL has problems with some paperwork (carrier license). It may be political. Hence, for the time being it's going to 'cooperate' with Estonian. I suppose this is the 'plan B' of their initial idea which we see being carried out now.

Today is June 30 so AL officially starts its first operations to Brussels. And the livery doesn't look that bad in real life instead of the renders.

The airline looks very well. Can't wait to see what it has planned for the future.

Are you coming to LT in August?

Will you be willing to pay 3x the price (compared to Ryanair) just to try out the new airline? Or are you a business passenger?

Maybe I must go to VNO at the end of August. From Amsterdam is the best way for me. Ryanair is only possible from Dusseldorf Weeze, so then I'd use Wizzair from Eindhoven. But I have to take 2 pieces of check in luggage so I have to look which airline will be cheaper then. I'm not a business passanger, I'm a student currently. But willing to study at Vilnius University but have to comple my study here first (thesis you know )
But this new airline seems good. I hope it will be successfull.

Oh yeah Amsterdam. I for some reason thought it's Brussels you were coming from. Have you checked the tickets yet?
