If you count the altitude it makes 216. Without it's 201.
It will be interesting to see how tall the T/R tower will look after being T/O. But the thing is, this baby is a great addition to Minato skyline, and it's already looking tall now .

You probably mean 207 instead of 201?
Anyway if it's 216 with the altitude, well 216 is exactly the height of Izumi Garden tower!

Confusion all around.
height for both towers: Izumi Garden Tower - 216m or 201m Toranomon-Roppongi - 206.69m or 198.9m This picture of the base of the Izumi Garden Tower should explain the 2 different heights. ![]() There's no clear base point in the tower where you could start counting the height. According to the Japanese Wikipedia page of the Izumi Garden Tower the 201m is actually an average height calculated from the different bases of the tower. "傾斜地に建設されたため、計測位置によって高さが異なる。平均地盤面からの高さは201m" The 206.69m of the Toranomon-Roppongi Tower (the height from the construction notice signs) is the height from the lowest base possible on the lower side of the slope of the hill. The 198.9m (from a Mori Press release) is probably counted from the highest point of the slope. |

Blog update from the site.
It's not topped out yet, but with 1 floor and the roof top structure left it won't be long before that happens. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://urbanreallife.blog52.fc2.com/ It does look like it's going to have a similar height as it's neighbor. ![]() http://bluestyle.livedoor.biz/ |

And this morning I didn't look properly at the news, otherwise I would have seen this.
Mori released a press release, for reaching the highest point. It was celebrated with an open day for among others the press. http://www.mori.co.jp/company/press/...000002329.html But luckily the news papers helped me out by pointing out that the actual T/O will later this month. Please check out the press release, because it got some very interesting info on the building and especially the safety measures. It's in Japanese, if you don't read it you can always look at the pictures and you can always try your luck at the deciphering Google Translate's automatic translation. news video of the press day: In the press release you will see a nice render, a huge version was posted on a Japanese BBS. ![]() http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/bbs/read.cgi...980/1323569619 (I'll link back for a change, they will like that. Thanks guys! )If you look good at the roof, you will see some greenery. It will have a rooftop garden and view corridor, in other words there will be an observatory in this building.

Thanks for the article. Some important thing it says is:
This building has achieved the highest rating of JHEP that is the Japan Habitat Evaluation and Certification Program which "quantitatively evaluates initiatives to contribute to the preservation and recovery of biodiversity." This tower adds many greenery which will help with nests for animals and feeding grounds, and also for decomposing plant matter (I guess in some parts of the grounds they're not going to touch the greenery at all). The building also received highest rating of the CASBEE which is for environment efficiency. The tower will use LED lights, have solar panels on the roof, and 30% of the area on the roof will be greenery and also some kind of system for using outside air for air conditioner, it will use rain water collected in toilets etc and the carpet is 100% recycable and other things. |
