That looks like a really characterful neighbourhood. I love the hilly aspect.

Yeah, I actually like Auburn and Walnut Hills. Both are improving and both, have alot of character, and great views of OTR and Downtown!

Great tour of Cincinnati. Looks like a great city and you have captured a lot of areas I have never seen.

What is the demographic of this neighborhood ? I mean the income.
Working class, middle class ?

Pendleton looks like a quaint neighborhood with lots of old brick structures and hidden architectural designs that bring out the community's charm. I notice that the streets seem to be quieter than the rest of the city, but that massive brick building with lots of architectural details really caught my attention: what is it?

Lovely snaps again, my friend... keep them coming!

This is what I was able to pull up. Pendleton often gets combined with Over The Rhine since it's a pretty small area. This is what I found.

It is for now. But OTR and Pendleton are slowly coming back. The pics I just posted, the ones with the school. There are plans to turn it into either a hotel (the city opposes that) or market rate apartments. And everytime I go down there, I see something new. Around Washington Park, many of the buildings are under renovation. So yeah, it's poor now, but give it 5-10 more years and those numbers will be very different!

It use to be a Cincinnati Public School. There are plans to either make it a hotel (I oppose that and so does the city) or market rate apartments.

Questions:

- How come you're opposed in converting that former public school into a hotel? And should it become affordable housing, I wonder how many units will be created in the process, as well as how many families (or individuals) will be qualified to purchase a unit.

- When you say that OTR and Pendleton are slowly coming back, is it through gentrification or restoration of older buildings and brick structures? On top of that, are there any revitalization of any existing open spaces located in the neighborhoods? And, if you were to revive both districts, what kinds of developments would you want to see in terms of livability and economic diversity?

Thanks guys. @ fieldsofdreams. I oppose it and the city opposes it because the market can't afford let another hotel. And it wont become affordable housing, it would be market rate housing targeting people who work downtown or want urban living. It's all part of a massive plan and rebuilding the areas north of downtown. From OTR to Pendleton, up the hill to Mt. Auburn and Clifton Heights.
