B | 142m | prep

no render

This new tower that should go U/C is the 2nd tower in the redevelopment of the area around the station, the 1st tower is Geotower Takatsuki Muse Front (139m) that is currently U/C. Together they will be like twin towers, dominating the skyline of this city in Osaka prefecture.

height: 142.23m
floors: 42
function: residential
status: prep
start: July 2011
complete: December 2014

Location:
Takatsuki, Osaka - Takatsuki Station

http://maps.google.co.jp/maps?f=q&hl...a70d64c0ea919b

When it's actually U/C I decide if it will get a thread of it's own or that I will update this one in the thread of the other tower, it's the same redevelopment after all.

The area around the South entrance of Hiroshima station is undergoing a huge redevelopment. Most noticeable will be 2 high rises, this tower will be the tallest of the 2. The decision to go ahead hasn't been made yet, but the city is working making it happen. Hopefully they will make it possible in order to start the construction in 2012.

I came round this diagram of the tower with detailed information on the height.

Japanese uploader

The roof of the tower is 190m, the top is 10m making this a 200m high tower.

I also found some info without a actual source that the start of construction will be in December 2012.

J. Front Retailing: Proposed Central Tokyo Redevelopment Plan To Metropolitan Government
http://www.foxbusiness.com/industrie...-metropolitan/
Quote:
TOKYO -(Dow Jones)- Department store operator J. Front Retailing Co. (3086.TO) said Wednesday that it has submitted a plan to redevelop a commercial facility with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in one of central Tokyo's best-known upmarket shopping districts.

The Japanese company, created in September 2007 through the merger of Daimaru Inc. and Matsuzakaya Holdings Co., said it will build a new commercial and business facility in the Ginza shopping and business district. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2017.

The new 12-story building will have a combined floor area of 147,500 square meters, with space for commercial facilities from its second basement level to its sixth floor. The upper floors will be used for office space.

Matsuzakaya department store is now located on the site and work to remove the existing building is scheduled to start in 2013. Details of the cost of constructing the new facility have yet to be disclosed.

Project Update:

New press release:
http://pdf.irpocket.com/C8804/kzOO/vlk0/TWJa.pdf

With this press release this project suddenly comes alive, although no actual start date is given. But this year the redevelopment association will be established, things are moving in the right way.

The stats were also updated, most noticeable is the reduction of number of floors from 37 to 32. This should have an effect on height, but there's no new info if it's also going to be less tall. But with the recent trend of very high floors the total height of the building might not even be different. The total floor space doesn't change too much compared to original plan. The tower also got a complete redesign, it looks it has a bigger footprint.

stats:
height: ? (190m)
floors: 32 (37)
total floor space: 118,140㎡ (120,000㎡)

new images

Current site with the old building that will be incorporated in the new plan.

It's a bit lower then originally, but the image is still the same as the latest renders. The quality should still be there when the construction start in 2013, it's worth the wait.

I've seen this redevelopment already a couple on the internet, just never with any information about it. It's a big project with 3 towers right next to Meguro Station on the Yamanote Line in Shinagawa-Ku. The area is already almost empty, but the construction will only start in 2014. The height of the 3 towers hasn't been announced yet, but there's a height limit of 150m.

Floors: 33

A Zone North Residence Building:

Great!

You say there's a 150m. limit:

That matches the height of the two residential towers, but not the height of the office one?! Tell me if I'm wrong, but a 33 floors office tower would probably make it around 180 (-185) m.
Is it a mixed office AND residential tower? But it looks like a 100% office tower on the render...

The 3 towers seem to have about the same height on the render. If the render is right, I see only two possibilities:
1- The floors of the office building will be much less tall than usually, or
2- The number of floors is wrong.

Cheers

It might indeed not be the height limit, I misread the blog post.

But counting floors of the tallest residential tower it does have around 40 floors. And judging from the picture the office tower does appear to have the same height as the residential tower. And 40 floor residential towers are usually around the 150m.

The floor height for the office tower is about 1 meter taller then for the residential tower next to it. It actually got a reasonable office floor height and not the extreme floors we see in some projects in around Tokyo Station. But there we even see new towers with similar floor heights, Otemachi 1-chome = 154m 31F.

It might be 160m, but not that much more.

source:
http://musashikosugi.blog.shinobi.jp/Entry/1592/

Another redevelopment for the area around Musashi-Kosugi Station and again this will mean a new tower. This project, not to be confused with the Kosugicho 3-chome Center District redevelopment (160m) that is U/C right next to site, will go U/C in 2014. The most detailed parts of the picture are the shops that will come at the base of the tower that still looks like a mass study in the 1st picture. I tried to count the floors and came out on a number around 45, that's about the same height as it neighbor. But that can always change when more details come out.

New project

no render

Compared to the other towers that will go U/C in the coming years this 115 tower will be a modest addition to the skyline around Nagoya station. But it does show that after a couple of years without any big projects the area will be getting another boom.
This new tower will be replacing the 2 Daini Toyota buildings that are across the street from each other. In the new plan the street will be moved to create one bigger plot where the new tower will be built.

TOKYO | 2x ?m | Plan

website:
www.pontegrande.jp/index.html

The area around the Senju-Ohashi Station (Keisei Main line) in Adachi-ku will be undergoing a complete transformation in next couple of years from a small scale industrial zone to a new residential area with many residential buildings.
It's just a masterplan for now, but it shows 2 tall tower apartments and several smaller buildings. No further details on the towers have emerged, like the height and the starting date (only one of the lower buildings has materialized in a actual project for now). But from the render in the movie (see picture above or link below) the towers could be 150m tall. That would make them the 1st towers over 100m in the Adachi ward.
