maybe some of the skyscrapers that are on park avenue, or
-the Thomson Reuters building
-Bertelsmann building
-Morgan Stanley building
-Crowne Plaza ate 1600 Broadway
-Paramount Plaza Building
- Calyon building
-Hilton Hotel and Towers
-City Spire Center
-Random House Tower
-Essex House
-CNN building
-Mobil Building 150 E 42 st.

as you can see , this model needs a lot of work still, and I'm very pleased to read your positive and enthousiast comment, offered to help out. so many wished, so many buildings
Its a dream to see all of them in paper models, but I cant ask that of nobody, I still trying to design myself, but on pc's im not so clever. maybe if i would draw by hand it could work. anyway, you do what you want to do, and if i can help , i will.
in advance thank you for your interrest!

greyhouse is right. What I mean is...270 Park Avenue looks taller than 383 Madison Avenue. 383 Madison Avenue, MetLife Building and the Lincoln Building looks right. If you just print my buildings they are at the same scale as Tim's. It's Rei's scale bar. I printed MrKen's Lincoln Building also at 67% but his 315 Madison Avenue at 86% and 120 Park Avenue at 78%.
You have to be carefull with the scale.

I do it just like greyhouse said, I print first than meassure the printed model before building it.

But I love the project and hope to see it finished sometime. keep going

Yes i did exactly that, and in those percentage. but you are correct. the 270 Park ave. is one percent to big. that makes it equal in height to 383 madison. I have to change it someday. I have like 5 other buildings, I have to do the same.. All in good time, first I want to have the basic skyline finished, before I make some addicions and changes.

BTW I spoke to a spokeswoman of our local library, and they are glad to expose my model!!!!
IF.. Im finished for like 90 % and maybe later on, I will contact other firms and maybe museums

Im scanning skyscraperpage right now, to see your if I can find out whats the new model your making, lol great diagrams to see there , I keep on dreaming what if every tall building is made into a model, haha awsome and timeconsuming, I have not tryed a serious attemp to draw myself,I have to get more known with drawing on a pc.

So when will this masterpiece be expected?

Yes there are so many great buildings yet to make. If I had more time I would make even more haha.

My big project is going to take a lot more time. But It's coming and I like it so far. There is one of my favorite NY buildings in it. I made good progress on two of those buildings over the last 2 weeks.

Your 383 madison I printed out on 100% , Mr Ken's buildings all on 67% and 270 Park Ave. on 14 % , I found out that was the error, thats really messed up, because this nyc model is allot of work as it is. And I have little time to sit for it. I will change this some time

Yeah it's too bad that not every building is at the same scale. I could make way more detailed models but I decided to make them as the most modelers here by using paint and rei's scale bar.

NL, another thing that could be screwing up the scale is the paper size
setting you choose. All my models are intended to be printed out using
the "letter" size setting 8.5x11 Not A4. And never assume anyone including
myself is giving you the correct scale to print at. Always check it to be sure.
