Simply incredible, come to think of it once these were affluent flourishing places and now they're deserted and in ruins, makes me wonder what happened with all these places.

^Each place has its story. Some were capitals of kingdoms that no longer exist. Some were centers of trade and commerce on trade routes that are now closed by modern borders. Some were centers of industry that declined because of cheaper European manufactured goods. Some were destroyed and depopulated during war and conquest, etc. etc.

WOW,
that shows that India has a marvelous past,
now theres a lot of remains of it
but these ruins can be seen also as a romantic landscaping like the Campo Vaccino in Italy in the middle age or the Classics and Gothic ruins.
