Happened to pass by this area, I don't know why they have to wait until the last minute when they are demolished before they move out, mukha tuloy silang kawawa na naglilipat ng gamit.

But the truth is, hindi porket mahirap mabait ka na tao, these people are part of the notorious "Addition Hills" and although you cannot make a sweeping generalization, this area houses a lot of low lifes.

Hope they find new housing though and their lives improve.

some residents voluntarily dismantled their own houses and vacated the lot few weeks/months before the forced demolition, nagmatigas lang yung iba

I passed by the area last night, and it's 100% cleared and fenced already. It's a huge property.

Guys, 13 days left to continuously vote for our Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) as one New 7 Wonders of Nature. There are three ways to vote. Please the check below link:
http://www.filamnation.com/2011/07/v...nd-river-ppur/

Sa mga nasa Pilipinas, pwedeng bomoto through text. Text PPUR to 2861 or for automatic 1 vote per day Text PPUR<space>ON to 2861.VOTE NA para hindi pababa ang trend ng PPUR natin.

One thing I hate about Mandaluyong is that the local government is "bigay-hilig" to it's residents. The locals like shopping at and setting up tiangge stalls? Blam! Half of Boni is closed for the tiangge.

Don't be surprised when your street suddenly gets closed because some old-timer on your street with influential connections in the barangay/ City Hall decides to celebrate his daughter's coming out party right in your street. Tents and 1000watt videoke machines and all.

I'm sure that happens in any street in Metro Manila. Honestly I find it inconsiderate especially if these people do not put any signs.

If you pass by Arayat St going to 9 de Pebrero (near ePLDT Ventus) there is a mini slum area there that closes part of that street every weekend either for funeral wakes, children's parties (complete with clowns) and long table inuman sessions (complete with awning). Meron kasing kagawad ng Bgy Malamig na nakatira doon sa slum na yun.

Every weekend. Consistent.

That is why I don't pass there and just take another road.

The term Mandaluyongnon seems very Visayan since the -non suffix is usually for Visayans.

Who cares on what Mandaluyong natives are called. They are still Manileños, and definitely Filipinos.

I actually have a relative who is a patient there but not because of mental health / insanity but because of alcohol rehabilitation. At least he is one of those nice pavilions and not in the charity ones.
