Replicas and Rebuilt buildings

The Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens. Today it functions as an art museum.

Hugely impressive.

There's a similar thing in Germany called the Walhalla Temple:

Reinforced concrete construction may be used for nearly all classes of buildings. Dwelling houses are rarely of this type, but office buildings, school buildings, and industrial buildings are often built of reinforced concrete.

The structure in Nashville was originally built of plaster, wood, and brick. In the 20s it was rebuilt in concrete.

The problem with concrete is that it's got a really bad name in the 20th century after so much Modernist trash was built using it. The Romans managed to be both practical and beautiful when they built with concrete, a balance that has so far managed to elude most modern architects.
