SSC-Madurai Meet @ Madurai :

Dear SSC-Madurai members,

I have been trying to organise us in a single place since long back.As posting these things in our Madurai threads deviate our aim, I am starting a seperate thread to get a reliable feedback.

I want to express onething - We are much concerned about our Madurai and its Developments. We are struggling to get the news and post it here. Whenever we hear a good news, we express our Joy and whenever we get a disappointing news , we feel sad for it. We discuss the Possible things to be done for the upliftment of our city and for the welfare of Madurai People. Shortly saying, we are doing the works what the Elected representatives are supposed to do.

I personally feel if our members in SSC-Madurai meet in a place and think of forming an Organisation "OUR MADURAI" for the welfare and future developments of our city, it will be great. I feel we need an Organisation badly to portray about Madurai, Its Potential and its Greatness to the Outside-world because there are no such-bodies doing it perfectly. For ex: Recently TNCC met with airline operators and talking about Jumbo-jet which is completely irrelevant at this sort of time.

As an Organisation, We can :

1. Demand the needs.
2. Suggest the things to bodies like TNSTC-Mdu, GRH etc.
3. Notify the representatives whenever they forget their promises.
4. Bringing the Big-People to do Business in our city by a true well-formed network.
5. To Prevent the things happening against the growth of Madurai/ Blocking the growth of Madurai etc...

For : Regarding the Formation of "OUR MADURAI" Organisation to raise our
voices for the demands of MADURAI.

Date : Nov-4-2010. (A Day before Diwali)

Time : Evening 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm

Place : Milanem Mall, KK Nagar, Madurai.

Please Give your Full Support Madurai members and make your presence. Let SSC-Madurai thread be the first one to form an Organisation for the welfare of the city. Let's be the Role-Model for Others.

Let SSC-Madurai thread be the first one to form an Organisation for the welfare of the city. Let's be the Role-Model for Others.

FYI,It is not the first one in SSC.The SSC-TVM makes occasional get-together.
If I remember some snaps of the get-together in 2008 are available in SSC-TVM forum.
Also,there is an organisation called Trivandrum Development Front, in which several SSC-TVM members are the patrons,is actively working on the development of Trivandrum.

Anyway nice to see that SSC-Madurai is going to have one such soon.ALL THE BEST..

I have an idea why dont we start with some action like planting trees in some places of madurai on the same day with our own contribution (This i have already discussed with vijay. he also agreed that) when we meet that day.

Please suggest if you have any other idea.

@ajithv : Nice to hear TVM has already got a team from SSC. As a senior, You people can guide us how to be active and where to concentrate and whom and when to approach like things etc..Hope we get this support from You...Thanks

Ya, forumers from Trivandrum used to have many informal meets too, right from 2005.

Recently we had one in Hotel Residency Tower, Trivandrum where about 10 people participated. A photo of one such small get together in 2006.



Most of us are professionals working with corporates/leading developers/govt departments and having contacts in Industry/Trade Associations & Govt bodies like Technopark/KINFRA etc. We have been doing our best on our individual behalf as well as under the body 'Trivandrum Development Front'.

TDF had been instrumental in bringing out several presentations/reports which were presented to corporates as well as Govt bodies. TDF is one of the select organisations invited to participate in the creation of the Master Plan for 'Trivandrum Capital Region' (TCR).

TDF members are also invited for live talks shows on development issues in Television Channels. Our fellow forumer 'Ajaypp' (Ajay Prasad) has appeared in many.

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: Oracle, one of the global IT giants, is gearing up to spread its wings to God’s Own Country.

The new developments are the outcome of a recent video conference attended by a delegation representing the State and senior officials of Oracle. While former Union Minister and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor led the State delegation, the Oracle team was led by its Executive Vice President Thomas Kurian.

We also have frequent meetings of SSC-Salem members for the past 2 years. We meet at various places in and around Salem.

No its Ajay Prasad (Ajaypp), I thought he would be more recognisable since he has his photo (almost similar as how he looked then) as his avatar.

He was never been worked in Bangalore, is an electronics engineer plus an alumnus of IIM Kolkata, but worked always in the real estate industry. He was with Accenture (Mumbai) as a business consultant for L&T in Chennai and then with Emaar MGF in Kerala. He holds the title of VP- Business Development of TDF.

He is now in Massachusetts Institute of Technology, pursuing his Masters of Real Estate Development.
