lawl 'The bushies, of course, are supposed to be a bit slow on the uptake (and perhaps as thick as a brick) so lots greasy larrikins and city slickers try to rip them off. Thus the expression bush week is used ironically by someone who suspects they're being made the victim of a scam or prank, as in the question, What do you think this is, bush week??' Makes sense. wow that is the stupidest judgement i've seen you make Sanj.
I'm more then happy with who i am, how i am financially, all that sort of jazz. I use to struggle with this a lot in school because i felt like i constantly had to do what was expected, the norm, "cool", attractive, trendy - whatever! Fuck me i just use to say shit without even looking at it critically, for example i always thought things were worth it if they were "good for the economy" like half of the sheep out there without fully understanding consequences or the significance of certain things. When this changed i really struggled to understand what i stood for and if i had any substance what so ever, i'd gone from being like everyone else to having to find my OWN opinions and ideologies and not regurgitations of others. "Going against the grain" isn't easy, but when i come up against people like you, so firmly entrenched in their beliefs and convictions and just as narrow minded as you think i am it just reiterates how i feel.. I'm happy with who i am unlike the rest of the world im not constantly wanting typical material items, all things i want are for practical reasons. Shit i've haven't brought a new pair of casual shoes in about 2 years, i buy clothes pretty spartially. I don't buy the latest phones yet i still have a reasonable phone i got second hand and so so on. But this has nothing to do with money, i have enough disposable income to buy such things if i wished, the last 3 substancially priced items i brought were: Built a PC (for music production). Brought some monitor speakers (for music production). Brought myself a better pair of turnies (for mixing), this broke my balls i had to borrow a bit of it in which i'm still paying back All this shit i've paid for myself and worked hard for yet you criticise me for having a go at a rich daddys boy who gets handed everything on a platter? seriously? You think i'm some slack ass, "omg im so individual" rah rah rah type bullshit person sanj, but i'm not. Success to me isn't pleasing other people or living up to peoples standards like you, success to me is being happy in what i'm doing, where i'm going and proving people like you that YOUR close minded attitude on life is no better then mine. No doubt you won't have anything constructive to say to this other then to pick out my grammatical errors or spelling mistakes. |

P4L - From what I've seen you have all the RIGHT intentions but unfortunately you are somewhat misguided and VERY misinformed. When you look at yourself 5 years ago you probably say WTF? did I actually think that? Fast forward another 5 years from now and you'll be thinking the same thing. On that front you're not unique so it'll all work out at the end.

The difference between me and you 2, or 3 odd is I attack your beliefs and values not you as people because i hardly know a thing about you hence i don't assume. (Besides the AZN comment which i stated was a joke). But you guys just make assumptions here and there i have tall poppy syndrome or have a chip on my shoulder or that i've lived a shit life or that something has contributed to my views.
I don't know where you've gotten mis-informed from.Theres no need for me to bring out stats to back up everything i say because it's an internet forum and it wouldn't be worthy of my time. I don't see you guys doing the same you just sit back and go "ha, im older, wiser and know wht i'm talking about and right because i said so". If it came down to it and if i really felt like it i have plenty of resources to back up many of my arguments. Don't know where you get the whole "id do this, i'd do that if i saw him" from samboy, saying that kind of stuff on the internet is just plain stupid, especially when your arguments are intellectual and not physical, although you probably wouldn't consider anything i say intellectual huh because it's not on par with your views... |

Come on guys, Perthy is just young and idealistic. As he matures his ideas will/may change on things. We all go through it.
Takes all kinds to make the world go round.

what's wrong with idealism anyway? fuck i'd rather try and be critical and idealistic then be negative and part of the status quo of just accepting it and get on with it. You only live once, when you die your in the ground, you decompose and parts of you might even end up in the groundwater full stop.
I really use to thoroughly enjoy ssc, even when i was really young and ignorant people still understood. Now it's full of internet elitist trolls. I remember when ckf use to make more contributions then gimmicky posts. The WA forum use to have a shitload of contributing members and now it's dominated by a main little group who all share similar opinions on certain things so others get quashed, plenty of people have dropped off over the years. |
